REDUCE & REUSE
Repair Cafe
Repair Cafés help reduce waste by fixing everyday items that might otherwise be thrown away. With some simple repairs, things like electrical goods, clothes, garden tools and bikes can be given a new lease of life — saving resources, energy and money.
Repair Cafés are also about sharing skills, learning together and bringing the community together to value what we already have.
The Crowborough Repair Café is part of Green Transition Crowborough, which promotes local, practical action for sustainability. You can explore our other initiatives too.
There are now over 2,200 Repair Cafés worldwide, with others nearby in Forest Row, Tunbridge Wells and Uckfield. You can find out more about the global movement at repaircafe.org.

Bring along one item that needs repairing
Repairs are free, with voluntary donations welcome to help cover costs such as materials and room hire
If time allows, additional items may be repaired
If you can carry it in, we’ll happily try to fix it
Repairs focus on making items work again or extending their life — more intensive care than full restoration.
